Empires of Classical Era

With competition for resources, and the idea of being “best” in the world Empires started to rise all over the world. Competition for dominance between civilization occurred which mean battles happened. Seminal thinkers came to surface, and these thinkers were the foundation of ideas by teachings, philosophy, religion etc. Seminal thinkers define us as people. Social organizations formulated, therefore more powerful and complex Empires were created.  What is even amazing they had urban centers that brought different people all over the world that spoke different languages, wore different clothing in one place to meet, and discuss ideas. The concept empires which requires a centralized government, and grows by conquest. Empires provide people a place to live whether they may not agree with the leader, and place to have food, water, protection, stability, infrastructure, transportation, etc. The empire either take slaves from conquest or, people volunteer to be part of an empire because they have no choice.
Persians empire brought trade opportunity to their Empire, and the Greeks engaged in conquest to build their Empire. Eventually the Roman’s took from the Greek Empire, and somewhat adopted the Greek way of living because the Roman admire the Greeks. The Romans used what they had, and became a very sustainable empire. Persian Empires brought the Afo-Asian into one civilizations. It makes me ponder on the fact that diversity of different cultures existed all of the world, and not only in today’s world. Greeks defeated the Persian Empire, and lived for about 100 years of stability, and was supported by slaves and the lower class.

When you think about all the information we have access to because of the so called “internet” era, Greeks told stories and a lot about bravery, and which influenced many people in their faith and reasoning. Roman Empire lasted very long about 200 years of peace and good government. The Roman Empire weekend due to invasion, had to pay taxes, did not conquer new places which meant no new slaves, and the some of the citizens felt they were above manual labor. The empire became too big which meant depletion of resources, infrastructure started to decay, and shortage of food. When we think of America, the attitudes were similar to the people of the Roman Empire such being above doing manual labor. After the empires of the Persians, Greeks and Roman more empires started to come to surface.
